The dance show “Inventio” arrives at the Jofre Theater in Ferrol
The avant-garde spectacle of circus dance “Invention” arrives in september Jofre Theater of Ferrol to present his fantasy show inspired by the Camino de Santiago.
Illusionism, levitations, balances, juggling, aerial numbers, audiovisual animation, compositions of traditional Galician music blended with electronic sounds. All this and much more is hidden behind “Inventio”, a new large format show. It is inspired by the Camino de Santiago and will arrive next winter at the best Galician stages.
“Inventio” is a work for the whole family that exudes comedy, thriller and science fiction. In it, humor and drama, dance, illusionism and the circus coexist. It is a sensory experience that evolves at a very fast pace and is reminiscent of certain futuristic films by Stanley Kubrick, Ridley Scott or Denis Villeneuve. It all boils down to being “a journey towards everything that makes us human: our ability to feel”.
It represents a futuristic story set in the year 2094. In the last Xacobeo of the century, the Camino mysteriously disappears and, with it, the Galician cultural identity. The mission of the protagonists is to recover those roots, for which they will resort to all the traces that the Camino left in history, in legends and in literature through the centuries.
