Interview with Muktupável: The Meaning of His Missing Earring and Retirement from ‘Kultūras Rondo’

For a long time, Muktupável had a mark of recognition – an earring in his left earlobe, but now it has disappeared. He told us why it is no more and revealed its meaning.

“It began to break! In fact, my answers to all questions are trivial. The earring was bent, it had to be fixed, I decided – what am I, an old person, going to stop babbling! Even before that, my earring had absolutely no message – I just put it in and that’s it ,” said Muktupável.

It has already been announced that on November 3 of this year, after 15 years, Muktupável spent his last working day in the radio program “Kultūras Rondo”.

Until the end of the year, Muktupāvela’s work schedule is filled with music. “Music is and will be my main occupation.”

“Kultūras rondo” is a Latvian Radio 1 program about cultural processes in Latvia and the world, which also provides detailed annotations about current events in music, art, cinema, theater, literature, architecture, design, etc.
