Interreligious commemoration for victims of the corona pandemic

Numerous churches and religious communities invite you to an interreligious commemoration for the victims of the corona pandemic in the Grazer Landhaushof on November 2nd. The pandemic was primarily speechless, emphasized the theologian Marlies Prettenthaler-Heckel from the organization team in a broadcast by Diocese of Graz-Seckau: “To make oneself aware of this speechlessness together and to perceive one’s own dismay should succeed with a few words, rather with signs and music”.

The corona pandemic has also brought death, suffering and uncertainty in Austria in recent years. She still dominates everyday life. A joint commemoration is therefore planned for those who suffered, the deceased and their relatives; “In memory of dear people, as a place of mourning and as a hopeful ray of hope for the future”, it says on the part of the inviting party. These are that Ecumenical Forum of Christian Churches in Styria, the Islamic Religious Community of Styria, the Buddhist Religious Society of Styria, the Bahai community of Graz and the Afro-Asian Institute Graz.
