International Fleet Ceremony held in Japan … Attended the Korean Navy for the first time in 7 years

  • An international frigate ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) was held on the morning of the 6th in Sagami Bay, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The fleet ceremony is a ceremony where the commander-in-chief inspects the fleet and soldiers and the international fleet ceremony is assessed as a representative military diplomacy of the Navy.

Today’s inspection ceremony was inspected by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and 14 countries attended, including the host country Japan, South Korea, the United States and Canada.

The logistics support vessel Soyang, sent by the South Korean Navy, sailed in the ninth order and, like other navies, bowed to the Izumo frigate on which Prime Minister Kishida was aboard.

The ROK Navy, which attended the Japanese warship ceremony for the first time in seven years since 2015, sent a logistics support vessel, the Soyang, instead of a combat ship this year.
