The United Nations International Court of Justice made a ruling on South Africa’s accusation of genocide against Israel and decided to take emergency measures against Israel, requiring Israel to take all measures within its power to prevent genocide in the Gaza Strip and submit a report within a month on how to fulfill its ruling obligations.

Palestine welcomes the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice. The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that the judges of the International Court of Justice evaluated the facts and law and made a ruling in favor of humanitarian and international law. It called on all countries, including Israel, to ensure that all emergency measures decided by the International Court of Justice are implemented.

The South African government also welcomed the ruling and stated that it will continue to take action within global governance institutions to protect the rights of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized that Israel will continue to defend the security of the country and its people while abiding by international law, and reiterated that Israel will continue to fight the Palestinian armed organization Hamas until it achieves absolute victory and all hostages are released, and Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.
