Interested by Serbian Club, Sabah FC refuses to let Saddil Ramdani

The management of Sabah FC rejected the request of Serbian club FK Novi Pazar who wanted to bring Indonesian winger Saddil Ramdani in this winter transfer market for a number of reasons.

Saddil was an important part of Sabah in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) last season. The 22-year-old appeared in 18 games, and scored three goals. Even Saddil got a contract extension until the 2022 season ended after his performance for half a season with Sabah was considered good.

His brilliant performance with Sabah caught the interest of Dragan Radojic. The Pazar coach has seen Saddil’s six performances, and thinks Saddil’s style of play fits perfectly with the scheme he wants to implement.

However, Radojic’s hopes were dashed after the Sabah management rejected Pazar’s request. Apart from having too little time to find quotas for Southeast Asian players, there are other reasons that made Sabah refuse Pazar’s request.

“The club wants us to release Saddil for free without any transfer fees. As we know, all transfers have a fee, especially since Saddil has signed a contract with Sabah FC,” said team manager Marzuki Nasir, quoted by the news agency website. Named.

“I have also contacted Saddil, and he is committed to be with Sabah FC. Now Saddil is on the Peninsula [Malaysia] to go into quarantine, and he will be with us this January 13th.”

Celebrating the MSL 2022 season, Sabah has brought in a number of new players, such as Malaysian goalkeeper in the AFF 2020 Cup, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, Baddrol Bakthiar, Rizal Ghazali, and Dominic Tan.

Coach Ong Kim Swee previously stated that the presence of experienced new players, as well as foreign legions were expected to guide some of the young players who joined the team this season. They will have an important role in the 2022 season.

“Every team needs experienced players, as well as young players. We rely on them for our resurrection. This is a long-term strategy for The Rhinos (Sabah’s nickname),” said Kim Swee.

“For now, we have experienced players, such as Apek (Khairul Fahmi Che Mat), Baddrol, Rizal, Rawilson (Batuil), Saddil and other foreign players. This will certainly make Sabah more confident.”
