TRIBUNJOGJA.COM – Coach Inter Milan Antonio Conte is said to have prepared for the summer transfer window by targeting Chelsea’s left-back Emerson Palmieri as an ideal target.
The Brazil-born Italy international joined Chelsea from Rome in January 2018 and spent the latter half of the season under Conte’s tutelage at Stamford Bridge until his coach was sacked in July.
According to Calciomercato.com, Conte is determined to strengthen his team at left wing-back, it was quoted as saying Tribun Jogja from Always Inter.
The Italian is reportedly eager to reunite with Emerson, who has struggled to find playing time under new Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.
With Ashley Young’s contract on Nerazzurri Coming to an end at the end of the season, Conte is looking to bring competition to Ivan Perisic and is sure the 26-year-old Emerson fits the right profile for his squad.
At present, the left-back’s situation in West London will reportedly consider any opportunities to make a move for him in the summer.
Emerson has made 66 appearances for Chelsea since arriving from Rome, helping the club win the Europa League in 2019.
