Inta Berg’s sculpture “Girl with a flute”

In the Museum of Puppet Art and Design, in the smaller exhibition space “Mākslas ala”, a new exhibition can be seen – the sculpture “Girl with a Flute” by the sculptor Inta Berga.
Inta Berga graduated from the wood sculpture department of the Riga Applied Arts High School and the sculpture department of the Latvian State Academy of Arts. Master of Arts. Member of the Latvian Union of Physicians.
The creative performance of the artist is multifaceted – they are both postures and environmental and light objects.
Inta Berga: “At the age of twelve, I started scrubbing wooden sculptures from a log of wood with an ordinary kitchen knife. The passion grew into a serious interest in art. I learned my professional skills at the Riga Secondary School of Applied Arts and the Latvian Academy of Arts. However, spiritual growth is up to each individual, and it is precisely this that is decisive in creative work. The creative process makes me happy, and I want to convey my positive emotions to others.”
