Insurance Customer Data Allegedly Leaked and Sold Online

Customer data from insurance, BRI Life, allegedly leaked and sold online by unscrupulous persons. The case is being discussed by netizens on social media Twitter.

One Twitter account called Under The Breach shared the alleged data leak in a tweet.

The account wrote that there were major violations related to individuals selling sensitive data from BRI Life. He also wrote that the individual had a 30-minute video about the large amount of data they had acquired, about 250GB.

This account also shares screenshots of a number of data allegedly belonging to BRI Life customers, from ID cards to medical records.

The post also received many responses, one of which was from the Founder of Drone Empritand Media Kernels Indonesia, Ismail Fahmi.

Meanwhile, other accounts were seen commenting while marking the official BRI Life account to question the problem.

“We are checking and will provide update as soon as the investigation is complete,” said BRI Life CEO, Iwan Pasila, via instant message as quoted from Reuters.
