More often than other social networks, Instagram is where users choose to create two or more accounts. Most often, one of them is a basic profile, while the other one publishes content related to, for example, a hobby. Users may soon be able to publish all their content in one place and reach different audiences at the same time. Instagram is now working on the feature “Your space”, a new private space where users will be able to post any type of content – photos, Reels, Stories – and share it with a select group of users.
The new feature was noticed by well-known app researcher Alessandro Peluci. He reveals that users will be able to access this option by scrolling down their basic profile. “Your space” will give you the opportunity to create a new private account and, therefore, add a different profile picture and description than in the public account. The plus in this regard is that you will not have to switch between profiles, because the account you need will be found on one page. Users will also be able to choose whether to add all the followers of the public account to the private account or select specific users.
Instagram has yet to confirm that it’s working on a “Your space” feature, but Peluzzi is “almost certain” that the feature will appear and work as he described it.
