Instagram Stories Are More Interactive Thanks to Add Yours Stickers

Compared to standard Feeds, Stories are a more interactive medium for most Instagram users. Replying to each other via Stories is a fairly common thing to do, but now Instagram wants to provide a more suitable platform.

They are currently testing your Reply (Add Yours) sticker. Through this new sticker, users can start conversations with followers and other Instagram users in Stories. The scenarios for their use obviously vary, from sharing #OOTD style inspiration with each other, to the challenge of sharing fun weekend photos.

Here are the steps to use this sticker:

  • Users can visit the sticker gallery and select your Reply (Add Yours). After that, users can include topics that they want to be discussed, or they can also touch the dice icon to view and choose random topic inspirations that have been provided by Instagram.
  • Users will receive notifications every time another user joins the topic raised (who replies). Rows of responses from other users will be collected and can be seen by anyone (except those whose accounts are made private) by tapping on the sticker.
  • When they see your Reply (Add Yours) sticker on their friend’s Stories, users can participate in the fun of the challenge and discussion of the topic by clicking the Add Yours button. After that, the uploaded content will appear on their own Stories along with their friends’ Add Yours sticker page.
  • For users who have private accounts, the Add Yours discussion topics they raise and the responses they give can only be seen by those who follow them.

According to Instagram, they designed this sticker so that users can share and express their opinions and creativity on a topic in an open, fun, and casual way through Stories. This is in line with Instagram’s mission to connect users with the people, things, interests, and issues they love.

This sticker is now being phased out for Instagram users in Indonesia and Japan.
