Instagram is apparently currently testing two features to give brands and larger businesses more ways to connect with users. A feature has something to do with links.
So far, Instagram users – including brands and companies – who want to refer others to a specific page via a clickable link have to access their profile (bio). Unless they book a paid ad. Now Instagram could reduce this limitation a bit. Developer Jane Manchun Wong discovered a new link feature in a beta version of the service, such as meedia.de reports. Another test feature could also influence the reach of brands in the future.
Instagram could soon allow more links
According to a screenshot of a beta version of Instagram shared by Wong via Twitter, it could soon be possible to add more links. The option appears to be limited to business accounts. In addition, it is probably not about direct links to any website or offer. Instead, it should be possible for companies to set links, for example to sell gift vouchers, generate donations or display delivery options. The vouchers are said to help customers help companies.

So it is possible that the link feature being tested is a temporary contribution to containing the economic effects of the corona crisis. However, the corona virus or other related terms are not mentioned.
“Discover Accounts” in the test phase
The second discovered by Wong Possible new Instagram feature is called “Discover Accounts” and should work similarly to the current “Discover people” function. The big difference from a marketing perspective: the function could give influencers and brands more visibility and thus the possibility of being seen by more potential followers.
