“We are still very good friends, we continue to work together, we have common creative goals, but we realized that we will fight less. I think that now our relationship has improved. Everything is wonderful,” says Maligina about the breakup.
Even though ending the marriage was her initiative, the artist emphasizes that getting married was the right choice.
When asked if she currently has romantic feelings for someone, she answers in the affirmative:
“I am with a person who does not live permanently in Latvia and has no Latvian roots. He flew home directly this morning.”
“I stand for the traditional family with both hands. But… Love is the most important thing that we have been given. It cures everything. You can’t cure anything with money – if you’ve wanted to live the way you should, but you can’t, then sink into a glass, hate yourself… My mom also sees , that I am finally happy and healthy.”
Maligina reveals in an interview that she is bisexual, but she does not reveal who her other half is. “On the way to harmony, when you are ready for it, God sends the right person. And I have love. What is real is beautiful, and it makes the world better. It seemed like it was only written in books, but it happened in my life.”
As is known, Maligina has been married three times – in May 2011, she exchanged rings with director J. J. Gillinger, in whose marriage a daughter Hanna was born. In October 2016, Elina married a millionaire, the largest shareholder of “Olainfarm” Valery Maligin. At the end of 2017, Maligin passed away. In the fall of 2022, she announced that she married Kalnaelli, whom she has known since school days, but already this summer she discovered that the two had parted ways.
