An Insomniac community manager responded to a fan’s query asking if the PlayStation Showcase’s recent Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay was lifted from the final version of the game. Insomniac employees directly refuted this claim.
Not only should this assuage some of the mild concerns about the upcoming game’s visual prowess, but it’s also a very exciting development, as it means we could see more than a few improvements when we get our hands on the finished product.
With the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 still largely unknown, we’re hoping to have some more concrete updates from Insomniac soon. Until then, we never knew it would arrive sometime in the fall of 2023.
