Epidemiologist from the University of Indonesia Hermawan Saputra said Jokowi and Prabowo were not wise and insensitive even though the Atta-Aurel marriage was considered to have strictly implemented protocols. For him, the presence of the two figures could trigger residents to compete to hold parties.
“It should be avoided even if the protocol is strict or whatever because it could be used as material by other people who will organize a party under strict protocol reasons, people will be competing,” he said, CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (5/4).
According to him, the alignments of the two state officials towards handling the pandemic must also be questioned. Moreover, the health emergencies were not over.
On (4/4), the number of daily positive additions was still 6,731 cases, with the addition of 9,663 cases recovered. Meanwhile, the number of cases of death returned to a high of 427 cases.
As of today, Monday (5/4), the rate of adding cases has decreased to 3,712 people, with 146 cases increasing daily.

Political observer Ujang Komarudin saw Jokowi and Prabowo’s arrival at Atta-Aurel’s wedding not just an invitation, but a political motive. Moreover, it was uploaded by the State Secretariat’s official Twitter account.
He estimated that the decision for the arrival of the two figures to attend the event had gone through a thorough study and long debate at the Palace.

Ujang said Jokowi and Prabowo took the opportunity of the invitation as an effort to vote for millennial votes. Especially, for Prabowo, who is predicted to still have the desire to run for president in the 2024 elections.

“Pak Prabowo has a desire to be close to Atta. For what? Someday it will become part of political communication with millennials,” said Ujang to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (5/4).
As is well known, Atta is influence young people who have a large following on social media. When Atta issued certain statements and behaviors, Ujang said, millennials would follow him.
For Jokowi himself, the benefits that can be taken from the results of the invitation to the ‘two YouTubers’ in Indonesia can be seen from the short and long term.
