Just under 1,200 people remain hospitalized for severe forms of COVID-19, including 186 in intensive care.

Regarding medico-social establishments, the latest ARS data dated April 24 reported 552 deaths in medico-social establishments in the region, including 529 in nursing homes.

Beyond these hospital data, Santé Publique France * highlights other indicators which testify to the recession of the epidemic in the region:
– 939 acts of SOS Doctor out of 10,000 concerned a suspicion of COVID against 1573 the previous week

Vigilance for the elderly and people with risk factors
Public Health France confirms that the vast majority of people hospitalized, including in the intensive care unit, were 60 years old or more (89.4% and 79.9% in intensive care).
The characteristics of people admitted to intensive care vary little, with a majority of men (67.6%), a third of patients aged 45 to 64, more than 60% of patients aged 65 and over.
Four out of five patients had at least one risk factor (mostly diabetes, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease). According to Covid-19 electronic certificates in medical causes of death, 75% of those who died had known co-morbidity.
Expanded tests in Ehpad
In medico-social structures and nursing homes in particular, tests are now expanded :
– to all caregivers, even without symptoms, where the virus appears in caregivers,
– and only if it is possible to set up units dedicated only to the sick, to all residents in establishments in which first cases have been confirmed.
Public spaces: Continue the usual cleaning of the roads
In the absence of scientific argument justifying the interest of disinfecting the roads to prevent risks of virus transmission, and in view of the potential environmental impacts, the High Council of Public Health recommends:
-not to implement a specific cleaning or disinfection policy for the roads in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic
-to continue to provide the usual cleaning of roads and street furniture with the usual protective equipment of professionals

A new volunteer platform
Launched this weekend throughout France, the new platform “lend a hand” meet
already a great success: 1,500 volunteers declared nationwide in three days, including 200 for
Burgundy-Franche-Comté.
Purpose of this device : match an offer of volunteers with skills
outside the field of care, with the need for ad hoc reinforcements from health establishments and
medico-social.

Anyone whose job profile allows them to lend a hand a few hours or a few

This new service completes the system # Reinforcements-Covid which allows the meeting
between the urgent needs of health and medico-social establishments and the skills of
caregivers (students, active, retired …).
More than 2,440 volunteers have declared themselves on the site on which 470 establishments have registered.
1,200 requests for reinforcements were made, mainly for the skills of assistants
and nurses. Over 440 needs have already been met.

The best way to contribute to the caregivers’ effort rests on the individual mobilization of each to collectively fight against the spread of the virus while respecting the containment system in place.
