Influenza: Burgundy-Franche-Comté in the pre-epidemic phase |

Public health France, within the framework of its missions of surveillance, vigilance and alert in the fields of public health, analyzes the data of influenza resulting from its network of partners and publishes the indicators resulting from the analysis of these data. This Friday, January 3, 2020: increase in indicators of influenza activity in metropolitan France and 6 regions in the pre-epidemic phase including Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and Brittany, Ile-de-France, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire and Provence- Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

In week 2019-52, here are the key figures in mainland France: 51 consultations for influenza-like illness per 100,000 inhabitants (Sentinelles); 4% of SOS Doctors’ consultations for influenza-like illness; <1% of emergency visits for influenza-like illness among all visits (Oscour®). Since the start of surveillance (week 2019-40): co-circulation of type A and type B viruses; 61 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care (start of surveillance week 2019-45); 178 episodes of clustered acute respiratory infection cases reported in elderly communities.
