Food products in January compared to the same month of 2021 increased in price by 14.5%.
Consumer price growth in Ukraine accelerated to 1.3% in January from 0.6% in December and 0.8% in November 2021. About this reported Gosstat on Wednesday, February 9.
At the same time, in January last year, inflation also amounted to 1.3%, therefore, in annual terms, inflation remained at the level of 10%, the department noted.
Core inflation over the past month decreased to 0.1% from 0.4% in December and 0.8% in November. Taking into account 0.3% in January 2021, in annual terms, core inflation decreased by 7.6% from 7.9% at the end of last year.

In the consumer market, food products in January compared to the same month of 2021 increased in price by 14.5%. Sunflower oil rose the most – by 34.2%, vegetables – by 27.5%, sugar – by 22.8% and bread – by 19.6%.
In addition, butter rose by 14.2%, meat and meat products – by 14.2%, milk – by 12.8%, pasta – by 10.8%, cheese and cottage cheese – by 10.1%, fish and fish products – by 9.2%, eggs – by 7.1%.
At the same time, fruits fell in price by 8.4%.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 9.3% over the year, while prices for clothing and footwear fell by 5.3%.
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose by 4.3%.
Household items and household appliances rose by 3.9%, healthcare – by 6.2%, transport rose by 11.4%, prices for communications increased by 7.5%, recreation and culture by 4.4%, education rose by 17.4%, restaurants and hotels rose by 9.7%, prices for various goods and services increased by 8.4%.
