Ine Van Wymersch (43) has been working as national drugs commissioner since April. Not to tell everyone how to do their work, but to create a laboratory in which it can be tested what does and does not hurt criminals. “My job is like acupuncture. We make it much more difficult for criminals by inserting a few targeted needles, rather than by just calling for more armed people.” This is how Van Wymersch wants to approach it.
