Industrial production in the EU grew in June. 13 percent more was produced in the Czech Republic

Compared to June last year, EU industrial production fell by 11.6 percent, slowing its year-on-year decline significantly after the previous two months.

In the euro area, production also increased by 9.1 percent compared to May. It thus slightly fell short of the expectations of analysts, who, according to Reuters, predicted a 10% increase. It fell by 12.3 percent year on year.

Among the member states of the union, the largest month-on-month growth in production was recorded in Slovakia by 21.7 percent, Hungary by 17.1 percent and Romania by 16.3%. In the Czech Republic, industry produced 13.4 percent more than in May. In Belgium and Finland, production fell month on month.

Year-on-year, Ireland was the only company to grow by 4.5 percent. On the other hand, production fell the most in Portugal by 14.8 percent, Germany and Spain by 14.1 percent and Italy by 13.7 percent.

In the Czech Republic, industrial production decreased by 11.9 percent compared to last June, which is a significantly smaller decrease than in the previous two months.
