The meeting was also held to determine the priorities and objectives of both countries’ ministries in the field of digital transformation for 2023 and 2024.

The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Informatics and Germany’s Ministry of Digital and Transportation have held their first meeting under the Indonesian-German Digital Dialogue (IGDD) initiative. The talks, which focused on developing digital policy and strategy, sustaining digital transformation and increasing digital inclusivity through 2023 and 2024, follow the signing of a Joint Declaration of Intent between the two nations. Industry representatives featured in the deliberations to help shape policy. Benjamin Brake, Director General of Policies and Digital and Data, represented the German delegation. The IGDD meetings are scheduled to take place annually.
