The merger of IndiHome and Telkomsel will create a fixed mobile convergent product (FMC) that can be used by the public for their Internet access needs.

“Yes, we hope to be able to announce it at the beginning of 2023. If the current FMC product exists between IndiHome and Telkomsel, it is grouped so that the name IndiHome Orbit is already FMC, only between the shares and from each other are still separate, ”said Telkom’s vice president of marketing management, E Kurniawan in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/25/2022).

Meanwhile, when it is officially merged, the payment for the FMC product is only one door, so it will be easier for customers.

“In the future, it will be more of an integrated management, both technology and business. So, what is integrated is not only the technology, but also the business,” he explained.

Kurniawan explained that the marriage process between IndiHome and Telkomsel is currently still being integrated. At the same time, they are also granting licenses to merge the two business units.

“Who owns the IndiHome license? Telkom. If FMC is moved from business to customer, there must be more discussions there. The assets that were held today, yesterday were done by Telkom, if there is a business transition, there are calculations, “she said.

With the marriage of IndiHome and Telkomsel, Telkom will focus on Business to Business (B2B) and Telkomsel will target those related to Business to Consumer (B2C).

“Telkom will focus on B2B, Telkomsel is more on B2C, so Telkomsel’s retail business is Telkomsel,” he concluded.
