Indigo Airlines is providing an opportunity for passengers to fly to Europe via Istanbul under a code sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines. It is possible to fly from Kannur to the airports of 24 countries.
As the Ministry of Civil Aviation has not given permission for code sharing in Kannur, onward journey is possible by reaching the approved airports from there by connecting flight. Therefore, a layover at 2 airports is required for Europe travel. More than a day. The layover is at IndiGo’s hub Mumbai and Turkish Airlines’ hub Istanbul.

Bonus dispute settled
Kannur – The bonus dispute of the Kannur International Airport employees for the year 2022-23 was resolved in a labor-employer meeting led by District Labor Officer M. Manoj. As per the provision, the entire workforce will be paid a bonus of 8.33 per cent of the gross income. MC Praveen, P. Pranav, Harikrishnan, V. Denny Augustine, M. Venugopal, VV Saseendran, MP Sajeesh, PC Vinodhan and Sujith Koyathan participated.
