Indian Minister Reportedly Entered Hospital After Drinking Water from the Holy River

NEW DELHI, KOMPAS.com – Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann reported to be hospitalized two days after drinking water from the child sungai Kali Bein, holy river di Sultanpur Lodhi.

Mann was treated at Delhi’s Indraprastha Apollo Hospital after feeling stomach pains on Tuesday (19/7/2022) evening local time.

Reported Indian ExpressThursday (21/7/2022), several sources informed that Mann had undergone a series of tests and was still being treated in hospital.

Sources said Mann began experiencing severe stomach pains at his official residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday night.

From there, he was flown in and treated at Delhi’s Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, in the capital India.

His illness is still kept secret by the government as he was rushed to the capital without his security staff.

The Punjab Chief Minister’s office did not confirm that Mann was hospitalized. Even an official claims that Mann remains healthy and fit.

However, several sources say that the illness that attacked Mann was related to his actions by drinking water directly from the Kali Bein tributary.

On Sunday (17/7/2022), Mann visited Sultanpur Lodhi to mark the 22nd anniversary of the cleansing of Kali Bein.

The government released photos of Mann drinking a glass of water from the Kali Bein tributary. The video when Mann drank the water also went viral.

A government statement said Mann planted trees on the banks of Bein and also drank water from a creek.

Daily Mail Reportedly, Mann drank water from the Kali Bein tributary of Kali Benin to prove that the water was safe for consumption.
