Congress MPs are holding a “Save Democracy” march tonight from Red Fort to Town Hall in protest of the recent disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from his Amethi seat in Parliament. The Congress has the support of 19 other political parties, and Gandhi himself has stated that he is not worried about the loss of his bungalow. The disqualification has sparked joint protests from opposition MPs and the Congress will be intensifying their protest and holding press conferences in 35 cities in the next two days on the theme of “Democracy Dis’qualified.”
