According to reports, India has lost control of 26 of the 65 patrolling points in eastern Ladakh amid the ongoing border dispute with China. The news was released by the national media. Top officials disclosed that loss of control of patrol points is a very serious issue. The border between India and China is 3,500 km. There are currently 65 patrolling stations from Karakoram Pass to Chumur.
The national media reported that SP PD Nithya said that points 5-17, 24-32 and 37 were lost due to the interruption of patrolling. The details of the report submitted at a meeting of top police officers held in Delhi last week came out. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and others attended the meeting.
According to the report, Chinese troops reached places where Indians were not seen at points where they did not go on patrol. It is reported that China opposes Indian patrols even in the buffer zone, claiming it as their territory and ensuring India’s withdrawal.
