We got the first trailer for Road House, directed by Doug Liman, which will be a remake of 1989’s Disco Road starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Irish cage fighter Conor McGregor. According to the story of the film, the former UFC wrestler Dalton (Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer in a club in Florida, where he tries to teach the local bad guys better manners, but his performance catches the eye of the really tough guys, who don’t shy away from street wrestling themselves.
You could already hear about the film featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, as the makers filmed several scenes at the UFC 285 gala in Las Vegas last March, which already promised to be interesting. This won’t be the first martial arts film for the Oscar-nominated actor, in 2015’s Mélyütés he already experienced what it’s like to wear himself out for a role.
