A 24-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured on Saturday evening after a collision with a motorcycle on Prins Bernhardplein. A police spokesman said the man was taken to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the motorcycle (38) is also in hospital with serious injuries.
The accident happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday. The victim, a man from Amsterdam, was walking on a pedestrian crossing at the time. The motor driver came from the Wibautstraat.
The traffic accident analysis (VOA) has now carried out an investigation at the scene of the accident to find out exactly what happened. Police are still looking for witnesses to the investigation, a spokesman said.
