In Ukraine Ministry of Finance in 2020, we checked payments (subsidies, pensions, etc.) for a total amount of UAH 455 billion. A total of 2.5 million suspicious recipients were found for a total of UAH 1.6 billion. Subsidies are most abused.
This is stated in the message of the press service of the department, published on the official website ministries. 70% of the total number of additional verification recommendations are related to subsidies.
In total, we found the following possible violations:

making state payments after the death of the recipient – 21 thousand recipients;

the purchase of a land plot, an apartment (house), a vehicle, building materials, other long-term consumption goods or payment for services in an amount exceeding UAH 50 thousand –17.5 thousand recipients;

the family has a vehicle less than 5 years old since its release date – 9.8 thousand recipients;
-
receiving subsidies simultaneously at two different addresses – about 10 thousand families.
“It should be noted that the main goal of verification is to ensure the efficient use of budget funds, to prevent illegal payments, to establish a fair social security system and to improve the targeting of government payments,” the Ministry of Finance explained.
As he wrote OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine the amount of subsidies may decrease by about 40% after quarantine. This is due to the new rules for accounting for income, as well as the recalculation of the amount of the discount (the mandatory payment will increase from 15 to 20% of the total family income).
Social Policy Minister Marina Lazebnaya said that officials will revise programs where there is abuse.
