America has already blacklisted a number of Chinese companies for supporting Russia.
A senior US State Department official believes that from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, China supported the aggressor country Russia.
This was stated by an American official, who wished to remain anonymous, writes CNN.
Meanwhile, the US Department of Commerce noted that America has already blacklisted a number of Chinese companies for supporting Russia.
“Thirteen Chinese Organizations were also added to the list of organizations by the US Department of Commerce for providing support to Russia, including one that supplied parts for Iran’s drone program,” said Alan Esteves, Deputy Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security at the Department of Commerce.
And Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink noted that the US “made it very clear that we will not hesitate to take action to hold accountable Chinese organizations that help Russia.”
“And we have made it very clear to the Chinese. The minister certainly did it in Munich, and of course the president and national security adviser did it directly to the Chinese on previous occasions,” she said.
Relations between China and Russia
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Chinese authorities have declared neutrality. However, it still gravitated towards the support of Russia. Recently there was information that China can send lethal aid to Russia in the war against Ukraine. Military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Grabsky expressed the opinion that China is playing on the decline of Russia’s forces and is not really striving for Russia to win the war, and the transfer of weapons to it only further shatters the already unstable Chinese economy today.
