In the Offenburg Bad-Streit it comes down to business – Offenburg

A quality deadline has passed without any approximation. In the dispute over allegations of bullying against the Offenburger Freizeitbad boss and the termination of his deputies, the labor court is hearing today.

The dispute over the dismissal of the former operations manager and deputy managing director of the Offenburg leisure pool is down to business this Thursday. After a quality appointment failed in the summer and the fronts hardened further, this Thursday will be heard before the labor court chaired by judge Dorothea Schmiegel. The Offenburg Chamber of the Freiburg Court meets in the afternoon due to lack of space in the regional court.

As reported in detail in the summer, the former bathroom manager Monja Ludin is suing the Offenburger Bad-Betriebs GmbH (OBG) and its part-time managing director Wolfgang Kienzler, who has been in office since February, and OB Marco Steffens as chairman of the supervisory board, for an immediate and alternatively ordinary dismissal. In the meantime, Ludin had also filed a criminal complaint on suspicion of bodily harm and coercion and accused Kienzler of having “pushed” her out of a room in front of the checkout staff. According to Kai Stoffregen, spokesman for the Offenburg public prosecutor’s office, the investigation is still ongoing.

Ludin received the notice of termination without a prior hearing on May 27 after she had raised allegations of bullying against Kienzler. The hard step was justified with “false claims” and with the fact that a trusting cooperation was no longer reasonable. The city clearly stood behind the new managing director and rejected all allegations. At the beginning of the year, Kienzler took over from Stefan Schürlein, who, together with Monja Ludin, led the pool, which opened in summer 2017, through the difficult early days in addition to his work as head of city marketing.

The case is also spicy because shortly before the change of boss, Monja Ludin received a salary increase of more than 600 euros in addition to praise due to her successful work with the clear approval of the supervisory board and its chairman.

Monja Ludin is represented by Gerold Knobl, a lawyer from Lahr, the other side by Reinhart Kohlmorgen (Offenburg), who registered seven witnesses.
