Jakarta

Charged Indonesia, an electric motorcycle manufacturer partnering with Vmoto Soco Group, says it has received 1,200 orders. The electric motorbike assembled in Cikupa, Kab. Tangerang, Banten offers a membership scheme at a cost of IDR 1.65 million per month.

“We just sent out a few dozen motorcycles last week. But we already have orders for 1,200 units,” said Stephanus Widi, Chief Commercial Officer of Charged Indonesia on Monday (5/12/2022).

Stephanus said there are currently still a lot of motorcycle orders from the fleet sector, especially from ride-hailing companies.

“Our motorcycles are starting to be used, especially for racing friends,” he said.

For now, Charged Indonesia will open the tap for renting electric motorbike units only for customers in Jabodetabek area.

The rental packages are for 6, 9 and 12 months with a subscription fee of IDR 1,650,000 per month excluding taxes.

Uniquely, during the subscription period, Charged Indonesia allows its customers to swap or change the type of electric motor they want to use according to their needs.

There are three electric motorcycles, including Anoa, Rimau and Maleo.

Charged Anoa is designed as an alias for heavy commercial use electric motorcycles. This electric motor is claimed to be capable of carrying a load of up to 150 kg and a maximum housing volume of 250 litres. To back up its experience of working hard, Charged has equipped the Anoa with 2 Li-ion batteries which are said to be capable of a range of up to 200km.

Besides Anoa, Charged Indonesia also features Rimau. This electric motorcycle is designed as a sports vehicle and is designed as a motorcycle suitable for daily commuting.

Similar to Anoa, Rimau is also equipped with two lithium batteries whose mileage is claimed to be 200km. Charged Indonesia also claims that this electric motorcycle can reach a top speed of up to 95km per hour.
