The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia, Hussein Amir Abdullahian and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, agreed, in a phone call today, Sunday, to hold a meeting between them in the coming days.

In a telephone conversation with bin Farhan, Abdollahian expressed his satisfaction with the positive course of bilateral relations and affirmed the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop its neighborhood policy.

In the context, the Iranian “Fares” agency stated that during this conversation, the two sides discussed the next steps in light of the tripartite agreement, and a date was set for the meeting between them.

The agency stated that Ibn Farhan stressed the need for continuous communication and meeting between the officials of the two countries, describing the ongoing process as positive and satisfactory, and the two sides also discussed the mechanism for holding a meeting between them in the coming days.

On the other hand, the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, reported that the Saudi Foreign Minister received today, Sunday, a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, and a date was set for a meeting between them.

SPA indicated that the two ministers discussed many issues of interest to the two countries, in addition to discussing the next steps in light of the recent tripartite agreement.
