In Baloži, Ķekava region, on Wednesday, October 28, an accident took place, as a result of which one car was taken to the car graveyard, and the other – to the service, the program “Degpunkta” reports.
The rush of the beginning of the working day this morning played a bad joke with a Volkswagen driver, who in Baloži, leaving Ezera Street, did not notice that a new Lexus vehicle was rapidly approaching along Rīgas Street. A blow from the side caused the Lexus driver to get stuck in a tree, and the driver of the Volkswagen also came right next to him, “cutting” the road sign.
The Lexus driver tells us behind the scenes that he has been driving on the main road and that there will be no problem finding out the culprit. It is not possible to talk to Volkswagen’s steering wheel at Degpunkta, but it seems that the driver of this vehicle has no arguments that could benefit her situation.
The problem is not just negligence, says the janitor. Emergencies here occur regularly and mainly because the speed limit is being violated.
“There is a place here where cars fuck like crazy in the morning. Because there are pedestrians here, the kids go to school. The other puts on, the other doesn’t let go and runs. Well, somehow they don’t cross this pedestrian crossing and then for 100 kilometers an hour they let go of not throwing, ”says the janitor.
It cannot be said that there are no law enforcement officers here – municipal policemen drive day and night, local residents add, but everyone would be happy in Baloži and right on Rģas Street, more often we see Patrol traffic police with speed measuring devices.
