“The idea for the album came from my music friend Agnese Rakovska, who exclaimed:” If you write a good mini-album within six months, you may have the opportunity to warm up the “Triana Park” concert. ” These words motivated me. In a short period of time, many different songs were made, of which the four best remained – “Halls”, “Moon Eclipse”, “Bruk My Castle” and “Weapons”, which is also the title of the album. As a young 15-year-old artist, it is a great honor for me to work with such experienced musicians as Agnese Rakovska and Kaspars Ansons. It’s still hard to grasp! ” says Loreta Reide.
“The song came late one night when there was a lack of sleep, and I was overwhelmed by a feeling of inadequacy. It was a full moon and I failed as planned. There was a real feeling that my “weapons” were not working. I would sit at the piano and in 15 minutes the song was made. This is my favorite and closest of all my songs so far, ”reveals the young singer.
She adds: “As for the album – I have no good or bad expectations, I think it will naturally find its listener, and then I will want to hear opinions and feedback.”
The mini-album “Weapons” was written in the autumn of 2019 and reflects the young singer’s feelings and observations about what is going on. The co-author of the songs is singer Agnese Rakovska, but the producer is Kaspars Ansons. In January of this year, a wider audience introduced Loreta Reid to the album’s first single – the song “Zāles”, which is remembered with a bright video clip.
