For ten years, Sarah Dumigron has been pampering her herd sheep on Ile Raymond, between Rions and Paillet in Gironde. In this natural space, she had never had a problem. But this Friday, July 9, 2021, she made a macabre discovery: she found his sheep in a bloodbath following a dog attack.
On the ground, she counts six sheep already dead. Then, she discovers four others in serious condition. “We had to have them euthanized, regrets Sarah Dumigron. And there are still others who are injured. “
“Nothing worse than attacking dogs”
According to Sarah Dumigron’s vet, there is no doubt: these are dog bites. The herd owner adds: “There is nothing worse than attacking dogs. There were some beasts still alive when we found them in blood. “
Protect the herd
Today, she returned home urgently, in Cabanac-et-Villagrains, to protect her animals. She says: “I want to find these dogs because they really belong to someone. And for my flock, I will have it protected by dogs, herders. I only had one, and unfortunately that day it was on a different lot. ”
