Employees of the E Center in Rostov-on-Don for 5 months secretly filmed an Open Russia activist Anastasia Shevchenko in her bedroom. A hidden video camera was installed in Shevchenko’s apartment in September 2018 by a decision of the May Day court of the city. By according to Shevchenko’s daughter, Vlada, in the case there were photos and videos in which her mother was captured without her pajamas.

“Six months before the mom’s arrest, a video camera was installed in her bedroom, which was installed there by court order to monitor a dangerous criminal. We learned about this in the fall, and my mother began to get acquainted with the video today, ”the activist’s daughter told on the social network.

Anastasia Shevchenko’s lawyer Sergey Badamshin earlier also reported in the telegram channel that Shevchenko was being watched. According to him, the initiator of the installation of a video camera in the activist’s bedroom was the Center for Combating Extremism of the GUMVD of Russia in the Rostov Region.

“On August 30, 2018, the court allowed the Central Intelligence Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Rostov Region to set a wiretap for audio and video recordings in the home of Anastasia Shevchenko, accused of participating in an undesirable organization. In addition, Anastasia was under surveillance. For six months, the eshniks found that Shevchenko “threatens the defense, security of the country and the constitutional order” with their participation: 1) in a human rights conference and 2) in a city rally agreed by the executive branch, ”Badamshin said.

Recall that Shevchenko was the first in the country accused of participating in the organization, which the Prosecutor General recognized as “undesirable.” She has been under house arrest since late January. Shevchenko is charged with two episodes (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code): participation in political debates and the organization of a seminar for candidates for deputies. On January 16, she was extended home arrest until March 20.
