One of the cars is supposedly repairable, but the other is beyond repair.
Polish police on Saturday, March 4, in the city of Radlów detained a man suspected of deliberately setting fire to ambulances intended to help Ukraine. One ambulance burned down completely, and the other can probably be repaired. This is reported by the local TV channel TVN24.
The fire broke out late Friday evening in the parking lot of the municipal office. Police at the scene of the incident worked on Saturday, she found that the cars were set on fire intentionally. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson.
On Saturday morning, both ambulances were supposed to leave for Ukraine in the convoy of the Power of the Future Foundation. The ambulance that was destroyed by the fire was intended for one of the hospitals in Kharkov.
Every week during the year, the Foundation brings humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and now it is raising money for a new car.
Ten cars were supposed to be delivered to Ukraine – six ambulances and four pickups.
The second part of the transport – two trucks with medical equipment – were not injured and went to Ukrainian hospitals.
