35 people were infected with coronavirus as a result of the joint use of the make-up material of a woman who came to the wedding from outside the province on July 24 in Saraycık District of Altınordu district in the city. Quarantine was applied in the neighborhood in order to control the cases. The quarantine decision was terminated after the tests made to citizens who remained in quarantine for 14 days were negative.
Head of the Department of Family Medicine, Ordu University (ODU) Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Özgür Enginyurt also warned citizens not to share personal belongings. Enginyurt said, ” As a result of our citizen sharing his make-up material with his family and his environment, his family and his environment were infected with coronavirus as a result of the makeup material used in common. Coronavirus is a disease that causes very serious respiratory failure. The whole world is at war with this right now. In order to be successful in this war, citizens have very serious duties. In general, we should not share our personal belongings with anyone. Makeup items are personal items. Certainly it should not be shared with anyone. This can transmit other diseases. Of course, a highly contagious virus like corona is transmitted by make-up material. He can make many people in the family coronavirus. ”
‘WE SHOULD BE MORE ATTENTION DURING THE PANDEMY PERIOD’
Indicating that various precautions should be taken for new clothes and shoes besides make-up materials, Enginyurt said, “What should we not use other than make-up materials; we must never jointly use personal materials. When we buy a new dress, we have to bring it home and wash it. Even if we buy new shoes, we have to keep them in the sun for a while. We should never share our toothpaste, towel, coat or personal belongings with even our closest family members. We have to do this under normal conditions. Especially during the pandemic period, we need to pay more attention to this. Please, let’s protect our own health first and then the health of the people around us, ” he warned.
CITIZENS UPGRADE THE MEASURE
With the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the city in recent days, citizens have also raised their precautions. Emine Akman (70), who lives in the city, stated that she complied with the measures taken against the epidemic and said, “ I do not go to the grocery store, do not go out, I do not approach people, I do not embrace my grandchildren, I do not accept guests at home. I take care not to use anyone’s personal material. When I go to my mother, I take off the mask in my mouth and sleep in another room. I even eat my food separately, ” he said.
