In Montluçon (Allier), eleven bus stops are waiting to be brought up to disability standards

The balance of the Accessibility Master Plan – Programmed Accessibility Agenda (SDA-Ad’AP) for public transport voted in 2015 by Montluçon Communauté is in progress, in the Montluçon sector.

Work in February and March

In February and March 2022, eleven “bus platforms” in Montluçon and Désertines, stops on the Maëlis network, will be under construction. This involves raising the platforms to make it easier for people with reduced mobility to get on and off. “These are concrete structures”, specifies Francis Nouhant, vice-president in charge of mobility.

€250,000 invested since 2016

The project amounts to €65,000, in addition to the €185,000 invested since 2016 to redevelop thirty-nine “bus platforms”. “Afterwards we will be finished”, welcomes Francis Nouhant, despite the delay in the program, due in particular to the health crisis.
At the same time, in a press release dated February 16, Montluçon Communauté indicates that it has “ensured the accessibility of the park” Maelis, “in particular by installing a passenger information service adapted to the different forms of disability (visual information, sound information, etc.)” .
