In Minsk, for almost 580 days, no new individual entrepreneurs are registered, they refer to “technical” problems. The implications of this are impressive.

In Minsk, for 573 days they have not been able to solve the “technical reasons” due to which it is impossible to register as an individual entrepreneur, reports Mirror. Over the past year alone, the capital has lost more than six thousand entrepreneurs. In just a year, 13.3 thousand individual entrepreneurs died in Belarus, it follows from the data of Belstat.

Since August 17, 2021, new entrepreneurs have not been registered in Minsk. In the Minsk City Executive Committee it explained “technical reasons”. The same reason indicated on the website of the local executive committee until now.

– Registration of individual entrepreneurs is not carried out in the city of Minsk. All information is on our website. If there are any changes, everything will be stated there, ”they answered the Zerkalo reader when asked about the resumption of the service (there is a recording of the conversation in the editorial office).

The structure noted that they do not have information whether any changes are planned in this regard in the near future.

It turns out that 18.5 months, or 573 days in the capital, cannot solve some “technical” problems that do not allow residents of the city to register as an individual entrepreneur.

In other regions, IP registration did not stop. Nevertheless, Belarus continues to actively lose individual entrepreneurs. As of February 1, there were 259.9 thousand individual entrepreneurs in Belarus, which is 13.3 thousand less than in the same month last year.

Recall that this year several tax changes have been introduced for entrepreneurs. In particular, they raised income tax from 16 to 20%. They also canceled the opportunity to work under the simplified tax system (ONS).

In addition, for entrepreneurs this year, the list of activities for the payment of a single tax was reduced, and for those that were left, the tax rates were raised.

Tax changes for individual entrepreneurs, according to words heads of the Ministry of Taxation, introduced, among other things, in order to “eliminate unfair competition” and “bring cash payments out of the shadows.”
