Between June 6 and 10, due to routine work, there are no S-Bahn trains between Freiburg and Breisach. Individual trains in the region will be canceled from Friday.
In the coming weeks there will be restrictions on train traffic in the Freiburg region. On the one hand, this is due to switch work at Freiburg Central Station. According to a message from the Deutsche Bahn, these take place on the weekend of Pentecost and the weekend after. From tomorrow, May 29th until June 5th, individual trains should therefore fail.
There will also be a replacement rail service on the route between Freiburg and Breisach. From June 6th to 10th only buses will run here. The route has just been extensively renovated, it was only inaugurated in December. The reason for the work is not defects, but so-called darning. These are “routine” tests when new tracks are laid, the railroad says on request. In addition, various work on level crossings would take place on the route.
Since work is also done at Gottenheim station, trains from Endingen only run between Bötzingen and Endingen. Passengers in Bötzingen are connected to the buses of the alternative traffic. The buses run between Breisach and Bötzingen according to the train every 30 minutes. The trips are divided into a fast bus and a slow bus with all stops to Freiburg. The train advises that not all bus stops are located directly at the train stations. It is also not possible to take bicycles on the bus.
