In Italy, doctors have to make decisions about life and death


Hospital staff in Italy are currently going beyond their borders. In some people over the age of 70, there is no treatment.

In the Italian population, they are considered heroes. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is the first to thank them before reading out his video messages to the people. But the doctors and nurses who have been fighting the coronavirus around the clock for weeks do not want to be heroes. “We just do our job,” is the tenor.
