475 people died from coronavirus in Italy. This was announced by the head of the Department of Civil Protection, Angelo Borrelli, quoted by him TASS.
According to him, this is a record mortality rate since the beginning of the epidemic. The infection rate continues, and mortality is increasing, the official added.
To date, 35713 people have been infected with coronavirus in Italy, almost three thousand have died. The highest percentage of deaths was recorded in the northern regions of the country. In total, more than 216 thousand are sick with the coronavirus in the world, almost 9 thousand people have died.
