“In December I risk 16 thousand cases a day, 7 weapons to avoid it”

While the new cases of Covid-19 in Italy yesterday reached 3,677, other European countries are facing an escalation of infections. “If we don’t move, there is a risk of reaching 16 thousand cases a day”. This was stated to Adnkronos Health Walter Ricciardi, advisor to the Minister of Health for the Covid-19 emergency and full professor of General and Applied Hygiene at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Catholic University of Rome. Much more, therefore, than the record reached in the months of the peak.

But “we have seven weapons to avoid it – adds Ricciardi – Here they are: distance, masks, hand hygiene, Immune App, flu vaccine, strengthening of subintensive therapies and first aid, and finally more tests and tracking with the prevention departments”. Seven weapons capable of curbing the virus’ run in the winter months.
