The mythical Henri IV weekend is back in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) this week-end. In addition to the thematic visits in the footsteps of the Good King and the city in the 16th century, the restorers of the agglomeration and Eure-et-Loir put the Boiled chicken in the spotlight.
A gastronomic and historical walk in Chartres awaits visitors, tourists or locals! A bowl of broth will notably be offered on Saturday morning at the downtown market. If you want to treat yourself for lunch, the chefs are pulling out all the stops to offer this traditional dish.
Each restaurant will suggest its version of Poule au pot, particularly with potatoes, a typical Beauce recipe, or with heirloom vegetables to delight the taste buds.
