This Thursday, July 7, 2022, the firm Christie & Co announced the sale of the premises and business of the Novotel Chartres hotels (Eure-et-Loir) and Kyriad Direct Chartres Est for the benefit of the Atypio Hotels Resorts network.
Luxury in Chartres?
These hotels have a capital seduction interesting for new investors: they are located near Chartres business areas, the MMA headquarters, but also Cosmetic Valley companies such as Guerlain or Christian Dior and the Odyssée complex, which will be used for of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. They arrive in barely two years, and it is difficult not to see a link between the acquisition of these hotels and the influx of people who will arrive in Chartres at the time of this sporting competition with planetary fame.
Their proximity to Paris, an hour’s journey from the motorway exit, gives them another significant advantage. There too, in view of the Olympic Games.
The operation, which took place in a very positive climate, shows the strong interest of market investors for medium-sized provincial towns and for branded hotels that attract business and leisure customers.
These two hotels will complete the Atypio Hotels Resorts network, which has around twenty brands in France, including restaurants. In total, the group manages more than 200 establishments.
Its two new acquisitions will have two radically different uses, since the Kyriad Direct Chartres Est, classified two stars, is rather comfort oriented with its rooms, the Novotel Chartres, which has 4 stars, attracts more seminars and companies, with its meeting rooms. sport, meeting or swimming pool. The Kyriad is also the only establishment in the network to have less than 3 stars.
Christie & Co, founded in 1935, supports hotel sales in terms of advice, valuation and during the transaction. In 2021, he participated in 375 sales in France.
