The Cartenz Peace Task Force Law Enforcement Team arrested two members of an armed criminal group (KKB) in two different locations in Mimika Regency, Papua province. During the arrest, the police seized 113 ammunition.

Papuan Police Director General Kombes Faizal Rahmadani said the team initially arrested the Constitutional Court on Friday (9/23/2022), Antara reported. Police seized 113 rounds of ammunition of various calibers and an airsoft revolver-type pistol.

“The ammunition that was insured consisted of 95 rounds of 5.56mm caliber ammunition and 18 rounds of sabhara V2 rubber ammunition,” he explained.

Meanwhile, on Friday morning, around 11:20 am WIT, the team arrested BK in the SP 5 area, he said. He said that from the exam results, they were both members of the Atan Jaya Group KKB led by Undius Kogoya.

“Currently, both are still under investigation by investigators,” he said.

Arrest of Timika President of KNPB

“(Arrested) Regarding the alleged involvement in the supply of ammunition to the armed criminal group (KKB),” he said.

Faizal said YA is currently still under investigation by investigators at the Mimika Police Station.
