The Chihuahua Representation Office of the Mexican Institute of Social Security encourages its beneficiaries to register in Family Medicine Units, through the IMSS Digital system.
The process is very accessible, it reduces costs, time and it is only required to have personal data on hand to carry it out, informed the head of the Head of Affiliation and Collection, Jorge Óscar Carrillo Ronquillo.
He stressed that affiliation guarantees the insured and his family nucleus access to benefits such as medical care, work disabilities or childcare for children.
Carrillo Ronquillo, affirmed that when a citizen enters work and is discharged by his employer in the IMSS, he must register in the corresponding clinic to complete the process and do it digitally takes up to 15 minutes, in addition to that avoids expenses of transfers to the clinic.
Likewise, it reported that previously it was only possible to register in person, but thanks to technology, processes have now been simplified through the IMSS Digital app and the portal http://www.imss.gob.mx/imssdigital , which allow to do it remotely in the corresponding clinic, according to the geographical location of the address.
To start the process, you must have on hand personal data such as CURP, the holder’s Social Security Number and a proof of address in order to use the app; If the registration is made via the website, in the case of registration of parents and / or spouses, concubine or concubine, the Electronic Signature will also be required.
Both the mobile device application and the site have a list of Family Medicine Units related to the Postal Code so that the user can identify which one corresponds to him.
In addition to electronic registration, he commented that there are other procedures that can be carried out in this way, such as: change of clinic, if the domicile of the rightful holder changes; generation or query of the NSS; consultation of validity of rights; Check the number of weeks paid as a worker, who have been the employers and the salary with which they are currently contributing; pension process, correction of data of the insured, among others.
Finally, he assured that with this range of options the aim is to give the worker certainty that the IMSS has the correct data, so that in case of requiring any benefit, be it medical or economic, it can be done quickly and safely.
