The first edition was more or less a shot in the oven.
As a successor to the Baukindergeld, the federal government launched a new program in June: Home Ownership for Families, or WEF for short. Low-interest KfW loans should help bring young families into their own four walls. But the funding was hardly ever applied for.
The main reason was the far too low family income limit of just 60,000 euros per year, up to which the cheap loans were supposed to be available.
The government has now made significant improvements here!
